Teaching Essentials for the teacher
Teaching is hard. Anyone who tells you differntly is lying to your face. There are however, a few things you stumble across that, yes they cost money, but they do help make your days easier. Here are a few things I have found helpful throughout the years.
Digital timers! I use one color to count down and one to count up. Counting up is time off recess for the whole class (whole class noise and disruptions).
Tiny Golden Nuggets for adding to a jar. Once the class fills the jar, they earn a whole class reward.
A classroom set of headphones. Some parents wont bring supplies. Even if they do, kids break things.
Oversized Reusable Dry Erase Pocket Sleeves for small group work and less printing.
KICK BANDS Chair Bands for Kids with Fidgety Feet. I never used them, but they might be a good idea. Too many fidget kids.
4 Packs Extra Thick Dry Erase Markers.
